OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM
Mr. Moen is the CEO for Integrated Pharmacy Solutions. He brings over 15 years of experience in the pharmacy industry to this role. He has risen from staff pharmacist to Senior Leadership positions in retail/clinic pharmacy with building relationships with assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, acute care hospitals, physician practices and other health care organizations. Mr. Moen served as a Consulting Pharmacist responsible for implementation of pharmacy services within a new behavioral health facility including recruitment, training, policy& procedure development, and regulatory compliance. He also served as the Director of Pharmacy for an inpatient pharmacy serving a 108-bed independent psychiatric hospital serving a patient population with diverse psychiatric and medical needs.
Mr. Moen graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Science with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He also received his MBA from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. He is currently a registered pharmacist in Massachusetts and Connecticut and is a member of the Academy of Managed Care pharmacy (AMCP).
Michael is the President of Integrated Pharmacy Solutions, Inc. Over the past 35 years, Michael’s experience in the health care industry has included positions such as: owner of a community pharmacy chain, executive level positions in two major pharmacy chains, consulting and program development for managed care organizations as well as state DUR boards, and consulting to pharmaceutical manufactures on disease management, operational, clinical, regulatory, and marketing issues. While at IPS, Michael has helped clients by developing: disease management programs that use patient registries, disease treatment algorithms, provider and patient education, as well as providing contract management and pharmacy data management services.
Michael uses his experience to provide innovative and practical solutions to today’s most difficult pharmaceutical care delivery problems encouraging appropriate and rational use of pharmaceuticals to reduce health system costs. Specific experience includes:
· Assessing, evaluating, redesigning and implementing pharmaceutical care management and distribution programs.
· Designing and implementing pharmacy related health system issue management strategies for managed care and public health organizations.
· Disease management initiatives and patient registries in the areas of depression, peptic ulcer disease, weight management, Hepatitis C, and HIV/AIDS.
· Testifying and speaking at various state drug utilization review boards, pharmacy and therapeutic committees, and many national managed health care conferences speaking on contemporary pharmacy and health care issues.
· Through his experiences Michael has a tight grasp on the integration of pharmacy between practice settings enabling him to design seamless pharmaceutical care.
Michael graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science degree, and has completed a Master’s in Education and Management Studies at Cambridge College. Michael has also completed course work toward an MBA at Suffolk University. He is a member of national and state pharmacy associations as well as political organizations. Michael has served on the leadership of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy since 1997. Michael has published a number of articles related to pharmaceutical care and has spoken at a number of national health care conferences (NMHCC, AMCP, ASCP, ASHP). Michael also has served on the editorial boards for Nursing Home Economics and Disease State Management Magazines. He served on the Board for 4 years and is a Past President of the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy, committee member AMCP’s Pharmacy Pricing Advisory Task Force, and Chair of the Academy of Managed Care’s National Task Force on Quality, and Chaired the Task Force on Community Pharmacy Outreach.
Mr. Coffey is the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Appeals Management. Mr. Coffey has over 25 years' experience in the health care industry specializing in a wide array of pharmacy practices. His multi-disciplinary healthcare industry background encompasses ambulatory care, hospital, investigative, and regulatory and policy development and operational management. He formerly served in capacity as the Director of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy. JD has acquired extensive pharmaceutical, health care delivery, specialty pharmacy, and regulatory affairs knowledge as well as fraud, waste and abuse pharmacy claims analysis expertise analysis over the course of his study, work experience and collaboration with state, local and national pharmacy related regulatory authorities and professional organizations.
JD graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
Mr. Batbouta has over 20 years of experience in the health care industry including Pharmacy Claims Auditing, Investigative Fraud Auditing, Compound, Retail, and Hospital Pharmacy. Mr. Batbouta spent his first 6 years working in both retail and hospital pharmacy settings before transitioning to work in specialty and compounding pharmacies. Mr. Batbouta has spent the last 11 years working in fraud detection in both claims data auditing and special investigative auditing.
Mr. Batbouta studied at The College of the Holy Cross and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Farah Bhanji is the Director of Operations at IPS. Farah has over 20 years of health care experience in Pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Management and International Health. Farah managed the contract for New Hampshire Medicaid and Vermont Medicaid for all pharmacy benefit management services including claims processing and clinical services. Born in France and bilingual, Farah worked as a technical lead in Kenya to assist all African French speaking countries to plan, prepare and respond to Covid 19. Having built her own business overseas, she comes with a wealth of experience in management, procurement, marketing, and client relationships. Farah formerly worked as the Director of Clinical Affairs at IPS where she provided consulting services to pharmaceutical companies on issues related to marketing, disease management, managed care, pharmacy benefit programs, and regulatory affairs.
Farah graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. She also holds an MBA with a focus in Healthcare Management from Brandeis University.
Mr. Young is Vice President of Pharmacy Operations of Integrated Pharmacy Solutions. Previously he served as Director of Pharmacy of Beth Israel Lahey Health – Milton Hospital. David has held a variety of senior leadership positions ranging from hospital, community pharmacy, regulatory, mail-order to long-term care pharmacy for the past 27 years. Also, Mr. Young has broad leadership and pharmacy practice subject matter expertise in high-cost oncology and HIV specialty pharmacy operations. Mr. Young is an adjunct professor at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science.
Mr. Young graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. He has completed a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate from Villanova University and has a Pharmacy Regulatory Specialist Certification. Mr. Young has also completed his master’s in jurisprudence in Health Law, Policy, and Management from Texas A&M University.
Mr. Young holds professional affiliation with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacist (AHSP), Massachusetts Society of Health-System (MSHP), and Massachusetts Pharmacist Association (MPhA). He is a member of the Bristol Myers Squibb’s Institutional Biosafety Committee and Taunton Opiate Substance Use Task Force.
Brendan Limone, PharmD, is a health economist with more than 10 years of experience designing and conducting retrospective outcomes research analyses, economic models (cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, budget-impact), systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses in a set of diverse set of diseases and therapeutic areas. He is experienced at conducting claims-based and literature-based research, including literature reviews, data appraisal, data extraction, and data analysis. He is a seasoned medical writer, with more than 25 publications in leading peer-reviewed medical and health economics journals, in areas concerning retrospective claims analyses, economic modeling, literature reviews/meta-analyses, and health utility/quality-of-life. In addition, he has presented numerous abstracts and presentations at professional and scientific meetings across the globe. Finally, his strong project management and leadership skills have an excellent reputation among clients and colleagues alike.
Brendan graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
